Joint mobility, stability, and balance are the keys to functional training. Joint mobility is the ability to move freely and easily. Stability, is the ability to support these joints during movement. As we get older these areas may dysfunction due to injury, and muscle imbalances.

As coaches, it is our job to assess this, understand the function of each joint, and create a program that restores and ensure movement, so it will not be compromised. There are many ways to increase joint mobility and stability including a proper warmup, strengthening the glutes and core, as well as strength training. One of the tools I like to use is surge storm 60.
