Drink Your Kool -Aid

Thank God for the wake up!

Do you drink your kool-aid? Better said, do you walk it, like you talk it? These are true statements and to often we get advice from those who don’t drink their kool-aid, or walk it like they talk it!

I often find see this a lot in the fitness community. Let’s start off when picking a gym. If you go to a gym, particularly for small group training and don’t see bodies, that you want to look like! Your probably picking the wrong gym. Also demographics, if your the youngest/oldest person in the group training most likely the training is going to be geared towards those representing the majority of the group. Just a few things to think about when considering group training!

Now, when picking a coach! In my opinion those who have been in battle become the best generals! Put it this way, I’m not taking advice from a fat trainer if I want to lose weight! Yes, there are knowledgeable trainers who don’t drink their kool-aid! But, there is something to be said about a trainer who has been there and done it! In my years of playing football, my best coaches, where former football players!

If I want to gain muscle, I’m going to pick a coach that actually looks like he’s been in the gym.

With that being said, take advice from those who actually practice what they preach! Would you take from a relationship expert , who’s not in a relationship? Or financial advice from someone who broke!
