What is Creatine? And why you should use it!
Thank God for the wake up🙏🏾
Last week we talked about BCAA’s and the benefits of taking them. This week, let’s focus on CREATINE.
The three energy systems of the body are ATP-PC, Glycolysis, and Aerobic. For the benefit of this supplement we are going to focus on ATP-PC. This system is short term and used with in the 1 to 10 seconds of intense exercise.
Creatine is stored in the the muscle as phosphocreatine, to replenish your ATP-PC. Creatine is a substance that is found naturally in muscle cells and can help you increase muscle mass, strength, and recovery
Why you should use Creatine: As stated earlier creatine can improve health and athletic performance in several ways.
Impact on your brain: Just like your muscles your brain stores phosphocreatine and requires ATP for optimal function.
Prevent muscle breakdown: Help maintain strength and training performance and help increase muscle mass during intense training.
Performance: Normal ATP is depleted within 8-10 seconds of high intensity training. Creatine can help you perform at a high level for a few seconds longer.
How to use? 3-5 grams daily should do the trick. There is no need to cycle this supplement, you can stick with this dosage for a long time.
